Drum n Bounce is suitable for a range of fitness levels. Whilst there is set choreography, there are always variations and adaptations for you to choose from.
Freestyling is also encouraged so you can move in whatever way feels good for you.
Take a break whenever you like and know that dnb is designed to help increase your fitness and wellbeing one dance step at a time.
Yes, there are low impact and high impact options so you can decide which moves feel right for you on that day. We encourage listening to your own body and only working as hard as you feel comfortable with.
Not at all, it’s not about getting the moves right, the emphasis is having fun and exercising to the music.
The warm ups and routines are taught in a way that builds up the moves, if you prefer, you can just focus on the leg patterns and leave the arm moves for another time.
The vibe is Drum & Bass, however the warm ups and cool downs include a variety of dance music, such as House and Garage. For the stretch section of class its normally something nice and chilled.
No, the beauty of Drum n Bounce is there are lots of different routines, warm ups and cool downs, all with their own musical accompaniment.
You will start to get familiar with them the more you come to class but at dnb we like to keep it fresh.
It can be a great opportunity to meet people, particularly if you are new to the area or getting back out into the world after a change in circumstances.
The atmosphere is friendly and there’s a magic connection that can happen when you dance with others.
Drum n Bounce is really beneficial for mental health, a chance to clear the head and reset after working from home or in the office. Some time away from screens and phones and ultimately a bit of time that’s just for you to focus on your personal fitness, wellbeing and growth.
That’s totally understandable however you will always be greeted and welcomed by the instructor who understands the barriers there can be for some people attending class.
If it helps, contact the instructor in advance to let them know how you feel about attending. That way they can ensure you are in safe hands on arrival and give you space for any questions beforehand.
Drum n Bounce is all about inclusivity.
Very similar to class but a bit more free flow depending on the crowd.
We often try and get some audience participation at bigger events as it’s great to try and include your moves into the routine and its always fab to get people on stage for some extra fun.
Funnily enough no, I can see why you might think that though. Maybe next year…
