“I believe in the transformative power of movement and music and I want to make fitness accessible and enjoyable for everyone”
Emma Smallman, Drum n Bounce & Dubstretch Founder
In the beginning Emma loved nothing more than a long night on the dancefloor, throwing shapes to the sound of the big beats and dirty basslines of Drum & Bass.
Over time Emma became more and more immersed in the world of fitness and came to a ground breaking realisation. Why not combine the energy and excitement of the rave with her passion for teaching people how to express their body? Drum n Bounce & Dubstretch was born.
Since 2012 Emma has been delivering fitness classes and festival experiences that are the perfect mix of high energy drum & bass tunes and aerobic exercise. All put together in easy to follow routines that make fitness fun, dynamic and most of all, accessible to all.
One of the things that people always say about Drum n Bounce is how much they enjoy it compared to traditional exercise classes. The classes and routines are designed from the ground up to allow people to focus on the joy of movement and the love of banging Drum & Bass tunes.
I hate exercise! I will happily lay in bed for days watching TV, however there is something about Emma’s energy and dance moves set to Drum & Bass that will make me go out of my way to get involved.
Drum n Bounce Regular
Emma has performed in front of huge crowds at festivals and high profile national events and is always looking at ways to bring the energy and vibes of Drum n Bounce to new and more diverse audiences. Spreading joy, wellness and positive attitude is at the heart of everything Drum n Bounce does.
Drum n Bounce is now ready to go to the next stage of this journey. We will be offering dedicated, online instructor training so that you can be part of the Drum n Bounce crew. Spreading the word that exercise and wellness can be fun, engaging and driven by the pulse of the bassline and the boom of the kick drum.
